Enable the SSL feature of Gmail, Wi-Fi security

People checking their e-mail from public wireless (Wi-Fi) hotspots are obviously more likely to get attacked especially users with GMail account.

For your security, Google advise all their users to enable the SSL feature of Gmail.

The problem were presented in the last Defcon hackers’ conference in Las Vegas. They show a tool that automatically steals IDs of non-encrypted sessions and breaks into Google Mail accounts.

To Enable You Gmail's SSL by default:

1. Log-in to your GMAil account and click Settings.
2. Scroll the page and find the BROWSER CONNECTIONS, Select the "Always use https" option then click save.

2008 Beijing Olympiad ends

The 29th Beijing Olympic Games has ended. We witness the athletes triumph and the drama. Even though there are controversies, the host country displayed to the world that they are indeed a powerhouse in sports. China finish the Olympics with 51 gold medals, in second place is the United States with 36 gold medals and Team Russia took home 23 gold medals. The last of the 302 gold medals was won by France in the men’s handball.

Michael Phelps of the United States made a mark in history by winning EIGHT GOLD MEDALS and surpassing Mark Spitz record performance in the 1972 Munich Games and now he is being dubbed as the Best Olympian in History.

Usain Bolt of Jamaica was the shining star of 10 days of Athletics competition at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games that produced five world records and 16 Olympic records.

There was redemption for the US Men’s basketball Dream Team. The NBA superstars beats Spain 118-107 to win the gold that eluded them at the 2004 Athens Games.

We all witness some of the drama and controversy in different sports : In Chinese gymnastics team, the United States question the validity of the age of some of the Chinese gymnast.

After being disqualified, Cuban taekwondo athlete Angel Matos has attacked the referee after losing his bronze-medal match.

Beijing’s polluted air had been one of the biggest concerns and it affected the health of Ethiopian world record holder Haile Gebreselassie to pull out of the men’s marathon.

The hosts handed over the Olympic flag to 2012 hosts Great Britain and with China's successful hosting and presentation raises and set the bar in another level.

Checkout this latest Resident Evil 5 Trailer via the 2008 Games Convention in Lepizig. The latest installment will feature some online elements. The story mode can be played with two players, in a co-operative online mode. The feature will allow players to enter or leave anytime during the game. Both players will not always stick together, and can be separated at points during the gameplay.

The RE5 scheduled release via Wiki is on March 12, 2009 in Japan, and March 13, 2009 in North America and Europe.

Michael Phelps won Eight Golds, an Icon Athlete

Michael Phelps done a historical, magnificent and an iconic performance. The Aquaman of this generation broke records and delivered a momentous achievement. An eight out of eight (8/8) sweep.

With the help of his teammates (Aaron Peirsol, Brendan Hansen, Jason Lezak), Michael Phelps captured his record eighth gold medal in the Men's 4 x 100m Medley Relay final with a time of 3:29.34.

Peirsol gave them a great start with a 53.16sec split. Hansen increased the lead on the world record split taking it 0.88 seconds under at the race's halfway mark. Brenton Rickard swam his breaststroke leg in 58.56, faster than Hansen, to bring the Australians into second place.

Michael Phelps EIGHT GOLD MEDALS surpass Mark Spitz record performance in the 1972 Munich Games and now he is being dubbed as the Best Olympian in History.

Five official mascots of the 2008 Beijing Olympics

The five official mascots of the 2008 Beijing Olympics are collectively known as “Fuwa” (Literal meaning: dolls of blessing) and they represent the five Olympic rings from which they got their color.

The “Fuwa” was designed to express the playful qualities of five little children who form frienship, four of them comes from China's most popular animals (the Fish, the Panda, the Tibetan Antelope, the Swallow) and one wearing the Olympic flame.

Each of Fuwa has a rhyming two-syllable name (it is a expression of affection for children) — Beibei is the Fish, Jingjing is the Panda, Huanhuan is the Olympic Flame, Yingying is the Tibetan Antelope and Nini is the Swallow.

When you put their names together — Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni — they say “Welcome to Beijing”!

Beibei is a female fish that represents prosperity and harvest. Her personality is friendly, and a leader.
Jing Jing is a male panda and he brings the blessing of happiness. He is honest and optimistic.
Huanhuan is the big brother symbolizing the Olympic Flame and the passion of sport. He is extrovert and enthusiastic.
Yingying is a Tibetan antelope that represents vastness of China’s landscape. The antelope carries the blessing of health, the strength of body that comes from harmony with nature. Yingying is lively and independent.
Nini is the swallow. Her golden wings symbolize the infinite sky and spread good-luck as a blessing wherever she flies. Nini is innocent, kind and joyful.
