Globe Telecom announced the availability of iPhone 3G in the Philippines on August 22, price starts at 41,899 pesos



Globe Telecom proudly announced that iPhone 3G will be available in the Philippines on August 22. Filipinos will now experience the revolutionary features of iPhone plus 3G and the hundreds of third party applications available through the new App Store.

President and CEO of Globe Telecom Gerardo C. Ablaza Jr. said, “We are very excited to launch iPhone 3G here in the Philippines. Beginning August 22, Globe is bringing to the Filipinos the best browsing experience through the revolutionary iPhone 3G on our 3G/HSDPA network.”

Globe release the pricing for their post paid monthly plans from P1,599 to P4,999 pesos(check the image below).

IPhone 3G is also available for Prepaid Globe Users with their initial offering of
iPhone 3G prepaid kit 8GB version with the price at P41,899 pesos, while the 16GB version costs 48,899 pesos. It comes with free 50 of free internet and short messaging service load of P200 for five months.
