What is this ASUS Mystery Product?

ASUS Philippines had released an image of a mobile device for the Philippines which they say would be released during the fourth quarter of 2010. The photo above is the single image which we have managed to get from ASUS. Seems like this is something that is worth the wait.

Based on the image the size of the device is about 9-10 inches and looks like very similar to an iPad or palm notebook. We have asked ASUS regarding the operating system or OS of the device and hinted if it would be running using Windows 7 Mobile.

ASUS Philippines representative Ellis Chua told us that this gadget will not be running on Windows 7 mobile but on ANDROID 2.2. He added that this OS is one of the better OS’ out in the market right now.

So what is this mystery gadget from ASUS coming out in 4Q 2010? Well stay tuned and am sure we will hear more from them.

Two new ASUS mercury-free LED backlit LCD monitors has been added to their Designo series for the Australian market, the 23-inch MS238 and 21.5-inch MS228.

Both monitors comes with 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and HDMI compatibility allows for high definition video playback. It delivers 2ms response time and offers 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness and 170/160 degrees viewing angle.

ASUS recently unveiled the "DR-900" e-book reader which offers a 9-inch display (1024×768 resolution) and it has Wi-Fi connectivity and optional 3G.

Measuring at 222 x 161 x 9mm, the battery life will give users around 10,000 pages, or 20 400-page novels, on a single charge. It is also comes with 4GB internal memory with an SD card slot.
