Acer’s Android phone :Stream" coming on August

Acer's Android smartphone called "Stream" got a market release date and it is on August 9, available exclusively from online retailer eXpansys.

It offers 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512 MB RAM, Bluetooth 3.0, HSDPA. WiFi and runs via Android 2.1 (Éclair).

"Stream" also has HDMI output, micro-SD card slot support up to 32GB and 5 megapixel camera for your 720p HD recording and high quality photos.

Price tag around $600.

Closing the Nexus One web store

Google is shutting down its Nexus One web store as they received their last shipment of Nexus and after this batch, Google will no longer be selling Nexus One phones online anymore.
Vice President Andy Rubin said, "while the global adoption of the Android platform has exceeded our expectations, the web store has not...it's clear that many customers like a hands-on experience before buying a phone."
It's a great Android phone but it fall short in attracting worldwide consumer. Retailers like Vodafone in Europe and KT in Korea will still release the product.

The new iPhone 4 is officially released and it features a slick design with stainless steel edging, a glass that is multiple-times harder than plastic and it is 34% thinner than the iPhone 3GS.
