"Xtreamer Ultra" - ION 2-Based compact PC

Few more days to wait before Xtreamer unveils its new ION 2-Based compact PC called "Xtreamer Ultra" at the upcoming CeBIT 2011.


This compact system offers 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 dual-core processor, a NVIDIA ION 2 graphics card with 512MB DDR3 dedicated memory, Intel® NM10 Express chipset, 4 Giga DDR3 RAM, eSATA, six USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, Ethernet, WiFi, integrated Intel High Definition Audio (ALC892) 7.1-Channel and integral IR remote control.

The "Xtreamer Ultra" measures 5.35 cm(W) x 21.3 cm(H) x 14.2 cm(D) and they also packed it with a USB drive with a pre-installed operating system.

I'm a little curious as to the intended use of this? Is it meant to be some kind of high tech Apple TV or Boxee competitor? Or are they going for the Mac mini / Portable desktop market? I mean, it's a good contender in either market...I just feel like they're advertising strategy shows them a little uncommitted either way.

It looks awesome, the design is very unique and I do not remember seeing even a similar design. What this compact system offers is a blast, I drawn to this compact PC.
