Intel 510 Series SSD with SATA 6.0Gbps



Update reports about a new solid stated drive from Intel which will be unveiled next month and it is based on SATA 6.0Gbps interface.

Dubbed as Intel 510 Series, this new drive comes in a 2.5-inch form factor and uses a 34nm MLC NAND flash. It offers a read speed of 450MB/s and a write speeds of up to and 300MB/s.

The drive is also capable of 20,000 IOPS for 4KB reads and 4,000 IOPS for 4KB writes.

Price tag: 120GB ($279) and 250GB ($579)

Very cool. Tons of storage for a solid state drive!
I can fit so many movies on that drive. That sounds amazing but I do hope that it doesn't cost as much. Definitely going to my Christmas list.
