Kingston DataTraveler 300: world’s first 256GB USB flash drive



Kingston Technology Europe has launched the world’s first 256GB USB flash drive, the DataTraveler 300.

A storage device that equals to 51,000 images, or 48,640 MP3 songs, or 10 Blu-ray discs (~25 GB each), or 54 DVD discs, or 365 CD discs, definitely a compact digital database for you to carry.

Measures at 70.68 mm x 22.37 mm x 16.45 mm with transfer speeds of up to 20 MB/sec read and 10 MB/sec. write. Loaded with Password Traveler software (Windows) for your data security.

Ideal for netbook users who want to extend the limited capacity of their machines or people on the go who carry huge volumes of data with them everywhere they go.

Price tag at priced £565.67.

I seem to remember the days when flash drives can only handle 1GB of data. Now its up to a massive 256GB, how awesome is that! You can have all your files with you, and with the password protection, then your data is secure. Thanks!
