LG GD900 with Transparent Keypad

If Ryan Ma has Lenovo transparent LCD touchscreen phone concept, LG is presenting their GD900 handset. A 7.62cm (3 inch) touch screen phone with world's first transparent glass keypad slider (7.2Mbps HSDPA), running LG's new S-Class UI to adopt a variety of multimedia features on the 3-inch display.

Hmmm... I'm not sure I like that. I can see it getting very scratched and perhaps smashed? I don't really see the need?
