Globe Telecom Network to bring iPhone to the Philippines



Globe Telecom together with SingTel, Bharti Airtel and Optus have signed an agreement with Apple and will bring the iPhone to Asia. Globe Network's released a two-paragraph statement in their website.

Philippines, Singapore, India, and Australia can now use legally their iPhones and experience new features that Apple will introduce.

And according to the Philippine Inquirer, The iPhone may be launch locally starting September this year. However, bringing the iPhone to Asia may require a different service provider infrastructure being used by that in the US.

Apple also signed different telecoms around world for their expansion program and they expect to sell 10 million iPhones by the end of this year.

There must be also a crack down on (iPhone) clone handsets in the Philippines. There is so many available fake handsets in different cellphone stores.
