ViewSonic ViewPad 7: Android 2.2 with phone functionality



ViewSonic is introducing their "ViewPad 7", first Android 2.2 tablet with phone functionality.

The ViewPad 7 offers 7-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen display, a front and back facing camera, 3-megapixel camera, 600MHz ARM CPU, 512MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB) and a full-sized SIM card slot.

It also equipped with 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity, assisted GPS and G-sensor.

The ViewPad 7 is expected to be launched in October ant the price tag will not exceed £350 ($539).

Looks extremely clasy and functional - the new era of pads is here, but for how long, is it considered a need or just a fad
I don't think it is a fad, with the competition developing their own versions this will become the new thing between notebooks and phones. Samsung are doing one, so are Dell and there is a few others who want a market share, although not sure of how much of that share will get it as Apple seems to be doing really well with their products.
