Badabings: David Fincher to Direct Facebook movie?

Oscar-nominated director David Fincher is in "advanced talks" with Columbia Pictures to helm "The Social Network". A movie about the formation and rise to power of social networking site, Facebook.

According to Variety, "The film will focus on the evolution of Facebook from its 2004 creation on the Harvard campus by sophomore Mark Zuckerberg to a juggernaut with more than 200 million members."

The script is written by Golden Globe nominated screenwriter/producer Aaron Sorkin, who works in A Few Good Men, The American President, The West Wing, Sports Night and The Farnsworth Invention.

Fincher is known for movies such as Seven, Fight Club, Zodiac and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
